Terms & Conditions.
Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully. These Terms set forth the legally binding conditions between You (“the Learner” or “User”) and Know The Blocks Maven (“KBM”, “We”, “Our”, or “Us”). By accessing the KBM website (knowtheblocks.org), enrolling in the REWIRED curriculum, downloading the Professional AI Prompt Template, or joining our community channels, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
1.1. Definitions
“Account”: The digital profile created by the Learner to access KBM resources.
“Course Contents”: All proprietary data, text, professional prompt templates, video modules, and curriculum documents (including "REWIRED" and "AI for Professionals") owned by KBM.
“Platform”: The KBM website, Telegram community, Google Meet sessions, and any other digital interface introduced by KBM.
“Course Fees”: Any tuition or administrative fees payable for access to premium KBM training tracks.
“Personal Data”: Information provided by You, such as name, email, and professional industry, as defined under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA).
1.2. Interpretation
The headings in these Terms are for convenience and shall not affect interpretation. The singular includes the plural and vice versa.
2LEARNER OBLIGATIONS & CONDUCT
2.1. You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2.2. Professionalism: As a member of the KBM "Family," you agree to adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct. Any form of harassment, digital disruption, or "noise" within community channels is strictly prohibited.
2.3. Technical Requirements: You are solely responsible for providing the hardware (laptops) and stable internet connectivity required to participate in KBM sessions.
3INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
3.1. Ownership: KBM is the sole and exclusive owner of all Course Contents, original code, and brand assets.
3.2. Limited License: KBM grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our materials for personal professional development.
3.3. Prohibitions: You shall not copy, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from KBM’s profession-indexed content without express written authorization.
4FEES, PAYMENTS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS
4.1. Payment Processing: KBM utilizes Paystack for secure transaction processing. By initiating a payment, you authorize KBM to share necessary billing data with the processor.
4.2. Scholarships: Any scholarship or promotional code issued by KBM or its partners (including the FCT Secondary Education Board) is non-transferable and holds no cash value.
4.3. Donations: Contributions to the School Partnership Programme are voluntary and non-refundable.
5EVENT OF DEFAULT & TERMINATION
5.1. Default: An Event of Default occurs if you fail to pay Course Fees when due, violate the Code of Conduct, or infringe upon KBM’s intellectual property.
5.2. Remedies: Upon default, KBM reserves the right to terminate your account immediately, revoke admission without refund, and/or institute legal proceedings to recover outstanding fees.
6INDEMNITY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
6.1. You agree to indemnify KBM against all liabilities and legal costs arising from your fraudulent use of the Platform or breach of these Terms.
6.2. KBM provides high-level training but does not guarantee specific career outcomes or technical performance. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
7.1. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
7.2. Amicable Settlement: Parties shall attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation within thirty (30) days.
7.3. Mediation: If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be referred to the Abuja Multi-Door Courthouse (AMDC) for mediation.
7.4. Arbitration: Where mediation is unsuccessful, the matter shall be settled by binding Arbitration in Abuja before a single arbitrator under the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023. The decision of the arbitrator shall be final.
